I had come from somewhere else that day and got home late. We arrived at 70’s Bistro quite late and missed one or two band performances. I spent some time hanging out with friends and did not take a lot of photos. Here are the shots I managed to take.

These were photos taken under the ceiling lamp hanging in the dining area of our friends’ “chateau”, by our friend [Direk] Nick Olanka, using my Nikon D90 with a 50mm lens. Here are my favorite shots from the set.
The traditional New Year countdown was held at our friends’ apartment, same as last year. There were games, like last year, charades; programs like our own version of Face to Face; even a raffle (of anything we could put our hands on); a photo shoot… and a rave party. And of course, drinks all around. I went home at four thirty in the morning, drunk like I have never been drunk before in years that I cannot even count. Fun could not even begin to describe how it was. Now we have the rest of the year to look forward to the next one. You, my U.P. Repertory Company family, has been my “family” for the past eleven years and I have nothing but love in my heart for you people, and my endless gratitude for being part of my life. Cheers to 2011 (and beyond!)
After spending the evening with my parents and my sisters’ families in the condo in Taguig where we actually used to live, we went home to put Lia to sleep, then at eleven thirty in the evening, drove off to Eastwood to welcome the New Year with drinks and watch the fireworks. It was alright, though I could not help but remember last year’s when we were at the penthouse watching all the fireworks all over Metro Manila for hours and hours.
