On the first day that we went out on Tour C with a group of four, another group composed of nine English and Spanish guests, went out at a later time on a different boat, also on Tour C. On the second day, we combined the two groups in one big boat, the Kryzel Jane, that is good for 2o pax, and went out on Tour A.

Our first stop was the Small Lagoon in Miniloc Island where the girls did some kayaking outside. I took this panorama shot using my phone.

Life in El Nido, Palawan By September 21, 2012 Tags: , , , , , , , , , 1 Comment

It was a 4-day-long weekend and we planned on going to San Vicente, Palawan to check out the long beach BUT we were told we were going island hopping that Saturday, and we never say no to that.

It turned out to be a very beautiful sunny day!

The sea was calm and I took photos of Pinagbuyutan Island (also known as Ellis Island, above) and Miniloc Island (below) as we were passing by.

Chronicles: Island Hopping in El Nido, Palawan (Part II)

Palawan By April 4, 2012 Tags: , , , , , , , , , 2 Comments

On March 4-5, 2005 , H came back to visit El Nido for the last time. We went aboard Kool Fox with Eric and Derick on the wheel to go around Bacuit Bay, visit some places we have not been to last time and revisit our favorite ones. We visited the lagoons and then landed on Entalula Island.

Entalula Island

Entalula Island seems to have the finest white sand in the Philippines, even finer than the sand on the beach of Boracay. This is a private island and only guests of El Nido Resorts are allowed. This is perfect for those private lunches that the resorts offer to their guests free of charge. The resort staff bring the tables, chairs, umbrellas and everything else. It is JUST beautiful!

Photo Memories: El Nido 2005-2006

I went to… wait for it, my Friendster account, and saw a lot of photos there that had me going through my old folders and files, looking at photos. I love looking at my photos from the year that I spent living in El Nido. It was the happiest times in my life, I suppose. Life was simple. We went to work everyday, went out island hopping, taraw-climbing, trekking to waterfalls, visiting inner baranggays on weekends. Work was light, so we had time to go out at night to hang out at Balay Tubay Bistro and have long talks over coffee at restaurants by the beach, read books and watch movies we had not time to read and watch. We ate six times a day! I was, I suppose, at my best there. Weight-wise at least. 😉
