Bad Things

This is what I do when I have nothing to blog about. I post some random music I like.:|

Jace Everett‘s Bad Things is the music for the opening credits of True Blood, the HBO TV series created and produced by Alan Ball and based on Charlaine HarrisThe Southern Vampire Mysteries, also known as the Sookie Stackhouse novels. Though I am done watching all the available episodes and seasons of True Blood and even done reading all of the available books, I just love this song and I find myself humming it whenever I am being my not-so-nice self and changing the “with” to “to”. I’m allowed some wickedness too every now and then. :P Oh, I am filling myself with Glee these days. Done with watching episodes 1 to 7. Thanks Voltaire! ;)

Bad Things

When you came in the air went out.
And every shadow filled up with doubt.
I don’t know who you think you are,
But before the night is through,
I wanna do bad things with you.

I’m the kind to sit up in his room.
Heart sick an’ eyes filled up with blue.
I don’t know what you’ve done to me,
But I know this much is true:
I wanna do bad things with you.

When you came in the air went out.
And all those shadows there filled up with doubt.
I don’t know who you think you are,
But before the night is through,
I wanna do bad things with you.
I wanna do real bad things with you.
Ow, ooh.

I don’t know what you’ve done to me,
But I know this much is true:
I wanna do bad things with you.
I wanna do real bad things with you.

Lia with Sookie and Bill

The 8-copy boxed set of Sookie Stackhouse novels arrived today at about three in the afternoon. Boy, that was fast considering that I only made it known that I wanted it six days ago. I am quite impressed now with Amazon and UPS. Ryan was really sweet to purchase it for me, a good chunk off his Amazon GC which he got from speaking at the blog conference at Trend Micro. We had initially thought it was going to get here, since the warehouse is in Canada, early to mid-November but the shipping which I believe had cost him an additional $9.00, had been fast and efficient and he had actually given me, excitedly of course, with an update of where the package was almost everyday.

I had actually plowed through the first five novels in its pdf form in a record time of two days, an activity which gave me a bad eyesore, like my eyeballs were gonna pop out of their sockets at any minute, much to my regret. Ryan had said, “Buti nga sayo,” to which I could do nothing more but concur. Gosh, I guess I have really missed reading much.

Lia too had excitedly plowed through the package.

She had shown her appreciation too by giving the boxed set a good lick-through.

Lick it good!

Can I have these someday?

If I knew how to use the Photoshop more than adjust curves and levels, I would have made her saliva in this photo the color of red, just to go with the theme.

True Saliva (hahahaha!)

As a side-note, this morning we finally made it to our new pediatrician, whom I have found that I liked very much. True, she was two hours late for her clinic hours in Marikina, saying she could not get away from St. Luke’s fast enough and had made Ryan miss his lunch meeting with his German boss who is in the country (a thing I am more than sorry and embarrassed for). It is a Monday after all. We did not make it to the clinic last Saturday as Ryan had been sick the entire weekend. It had been really hard going around without a car since we have not heard from the mechanics yet, and we had to take taxis back and forth. It was really difficult to find a cab in the sweltering, relentless midday sun and I actually found myself at one point sitting in the curb, the heavy, sleeping Lia in my aching arms. (I was tempted to hold out my hands and say, “Palimos po.”) We finally got home, exhausted, only to find out that the cell phone I had in my shorts pocket had slipped off and had been, I believe, left in the backseat of the taxi. My point here I suppose is, I have lost my cell phone, the almost 500 contacts I have in my phone book and my Globe number which I have had for I-cant-remember-how-many years. Gosh, it might still even be the sim card that went with my N-Gage phone which I purchased in 2003.

Now That I Am Done

Now that I finally got my hands on that villa, I have been farming feverishly the past weeks to get to it, I have relegated myself to farming only once a day instead of every four hours as I have been doing and… I am now moving on!

Villa at Level 34

I can’t believe I spent so much time on Farmville. All for that villa on level 34. Tsk tsk! *laugh laugh laugh*

Now I have so much more time on my hands. I have my hands on pdf copies of Charlaine Harris‘s The Southern Vampire Mysteries, also known as The Sookie Stackhouse Novels, on which the series True Blood is based on and will resolve to at least read a chapter from it everyday. Ryan and I have been eyeing a complete set of it on Amazon for only $40 but my brother-in-law told me to read the soft copies first and only make up my mind about buying the actual books if I decide that I like it enough.

I do know I like it enough. What I do not know is whether I will be able to keep books. I always dreamed of having this wonderful, big library at my own house – not necessarily first editions or even hardbound copies, just the books that I really, really like and do not mind reading again and again. I keep thinking though that if we keep moving from one place to the next, it’s really quite hard to keep a library. Or worse, getting flooded at the place we move to. I remember being very glad that I have not moved my books at all from the condo to the apartment when we moved last January.

Now perhaps I can have more time to study. I have yet to learn how to use the Photoshop. Or have more time to post my photos on my Flickr. Or maybe even take little trips to the nearby mall, even for just an hour or two. I’d love to buy Lia cute little dresses and shirts. I feel like she does not have enough. Though on the other hand, I feel like it’s a waste of time to buy infants too many clothes as they outgrow the clothes really really fast. I’d like for her to be able to wear these pieces of clothing more than just once.

Gosh, I am finally done with farming! Can’t believe it! Hahahaha! I am soooo silly. I can be sooo silly sometimes. Or maybe like most times…
