Aesop Purifying Facial Cream Cleanser and Bitter Orange Astringent Toner Review

I love everything about Aesop EXCEPT the price. I was in Melbourne last year when I first encountered the brand.

“Suave Australian beauty brand Aesop has some of the most cutting-edge stores around, including its simple but seductive wood-lined Fitzroy boutique at 242 Gertrude Street (+61 (0)3 9419 8356), designed by local architect Clare Cousins and Aesop director Dennis Paphitis. Aesop was so inspired by the streetscape’s eclectic mix of characters, shops and great bread, pizza and wine purveyors, it even named one of its glam skincare kits Gertrude Street.” Inside Melbourne #5

One thing I love about Aesop, aside from their shop design, is that because they know their prices are a bit on the steep side, they do not put any pressure on you to buy right away. Instead, they give you advice and give samples for you to try. If you happen to like it and get convinced enough to buy, then at least you did not have to waste your money on a product you already shelled out a lot of money for only to turn out to be allergic to or unsuitable for your skin.
