Back when there was absolutely nothing in Seven Commandos Beach, it was our favorite beach. It has really nice fine white sand and great snorkeling. It was the beach we went to with the other Potter’s Place School teachers when we wanted to go out for the weekend on National Geographic boat (named after the magazine but not owned by it or connected to it). For some photos of Seven Commandos beach taken in 2005, 2007, and 2014, you may visit the blog on Outventure’s Tour A here.

Shortly after New Year, we found the time to spend two days in Seven Commandos. There is a 4-room resort on Seven Commandos and it is a gorgeous place.

Seven Commandos Beach and Papaya Beach are more accessible from Corong-Corong beach, either via banca or kayak. By kayak, if the sea is calm and you are good, it only takes 30 minutes. Round the cape of limestone, the first beach is Papaya.

For the most part of Seven Commandos, you can see huts and some stores selling snacks and drinks. A big change from the Seven Commandos of my memories that had absolutely nothing in it.

On the other end is the resort.

The resort is owned by some good friends of ours and the rooms are very tastefully done.

The following photos of the interior of the rooms were taken with a phone.

The views from the resort of the beach and Bacuit Bay is breathtaking. One can’t help but wake up to an absolutely beautiful day.

If you would like to go to Seven Commandos, here are the ways to do so:

1. Join in any of the group tours. Tour A’s first or last stop is Seven Commandos Beach.
2. You may rent a kayak from Corong-Corong Beach. 1209 Sunset Beach Bar has a fiber glass kayak that rents out for Php600 (whole day) and Php300 (half day). Kayaking to Papaya Beach takes 30 minutes, to Seven Commandos about 45 minutes. If you need
3. You may rent a banca to take you to Seven Commandos Beach, wait for you there, then bring you back. The boat can also just drop you off, leave, and come back for you at the end of the day. This is what we call a drop off and pick up. From Corong-Corong Beach it’s Php1,500.
4. If you would like to stay at the resort in Seven Commandos, the rates are at Php12,000/night for 2pax with roundtrip transfer from Corong-Corong beach and breakfast included. You may email outventureph@gmail.com for more information.
