I was at Balay Tubay* one Friday night when I heard the band play a cover of The Chongkeys‘ Diksyonaryo, and I thought, “Oh wow, I miss the band! I should come see them in one of their gigs when I come back.”
I flew in to Manila from Puerto Princesa on September 13th, and that night, I was at B-Side. Already! Looking really tan and shiny too!
I arrived while Valley of Chrome was playing. We spent time catching up outside while waiting for their turn. It was a good time to meet some new friends, and have some food from the food carts outside The Collective.
Gala Magazine, an events mag, was launching and there were a lot of people!
I did not take a lot of photos because I decided I was really in there to enjoy the music. I did take some videos though. The band encountered a lot of technical difficulties but still managed to get on with the show. It was wonderful to be at their gig once again! Til next time guys!**
And of course, nahagip ako sa ibang shots. Bisi-bisihan kunyari.
*Balay Tubay is a bar in El Nido that is the one and only place where a full band can be seen and heard at play.
** I found myself again at one of their gigs a few days later, because the venue, Headstock Bar, was really close to where I live, but no pictures at all. I did not bring my camera. I just went there and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I ended up becoming a fan of about three more bands at the end of the night!
