I went looking for old photos taken back in 2007 and found some photos I already forgot I took and some I didn’t even realize I had.

I remember the first time I took that 16-seater Dornier plane to El Nido, May 2005, and being told which side to sit at. Going from Manila to El Nido, choose the left side if you want to see islands, there is next to nothing on the right side…. except a sea of clouds.

These are the only photos of these clouds I have in all my trips back and forth Manila and El Nido. I usually sleep the hour-long flight now.

I have a love affair with raindrops. I love watching rain drop on water. It was one of the things I looked forward to every time we went swimming in the beach in front of town and it was raining. Swimming at night while it rained was especially nice.

I would even watch the water from the shower drop on the bathroom floor, in search of the same sight.

I always wished I had a photo of it. And I never realized that I did.

These photos were taken in Marimegmeg Beach, during the same time my friend Clara and I were there, May 2007.
