I was told there were many 1st Colonial Grills in Albay, but I insisted on going to the easiest one to get to, and that was the one located at the Pacific Mall. The place has two entrances, one inside the mall and the other, right by the street, across the open parking space.

Because I went there for a snack and wasn’t really that hungry, I ordered this, a regrettable decision:

Because 1st Colonial Grill is famous for its chili ice cream, I ordered that as well. Most people love it, but even if I’m Bicolano myself, it just isn’t my thing.

While I waited for my food to arrive, I took photos of the place, which I actually liked. I also took photos of the menu. The prices are really affordable.

This menu shows there are three branches of 1st Colonial Grill. Despite my frequency in Legazpi City, I have not been able to memorize the streets and places. All I know is that the space right next to La Mia Tazza used to be occupied by a 1st Colonial Grill branch. I just don’t know when it closed down.

The last time I was in Legazpi was April 2012. I flew in again from Manila and met with my dad. We had lunch at 1st Colonial Grill again because he loves the food there. I for myself was either not hungry or my taste buds are just dysfunctional.

But still, 1st Colonial Grill is a place you must check out when you find yourself in Legazpi. I hear the Tinapa Rice is awesome.
“The dish that put 1st Colonial Grill on the map is Tinapa Rice, a signature of dish fried rice with tinapa flakes and slices of salted egg, green mangoes, and tomatoes served in a small “kawali”. 1st Colonial Grill also has a cafe famous for its unique desserts, especially the now nationally-famous Sili ice cream. Their five-spice grilled chicken and laing are also bestsellers.”http://wowlegazpi.com/1st-colonial-grill/
