I’m dead bored as dead bored as can be so these past days I have been going through Stumbleupon, Pinterest, YouTube, 8tracks and Wanelo. My Facebook wall has been flooded with status updates, videos, links and images.
I absolutely love Wanelo (Find unique products and stores you’ve never heard of) and here are just some of the items that ended up on my FB wall with my various comments.
And finally, I saw this:
“As featured in Wallpaper- and I.D. magazine. The very nature of this set connotes love, making it a perfect gift for your loved ones! The bold use of black and white suggests that we are all brothers and sisters on this planet and we need to treat each other with kindness, compassion and respect. The rethinking of a salt and pepper set on this level, as well the clever geometric aspect of the design and the inherent ergonomic and storage benefits that it provides all contribute to the design’s universal appeal. Size: 3″ height”
It’s ceramic and I know because we have one just like it. It’s one of those little things that my mom found and bought from the flea markets she used to frequent. I remember seeing it at home and just loving it!
I instantly took my camera out and took a photo of it. As I was processing it, Lia saw it and said, “Mama, hugging?” and I said, “Yup, yup!” She pointed at the white one and with the other hand on her chest said, “Lia,” and then at the pink one and with her other hand on my shoulder, “Mama.”
So that is how this photo got officially titled as “Lia and Mama hugging”
