My little one has a lot of tricks up her hat… literally.
Though that is technically my hat. Uh, no, I take that back, it is H’s hat.. it has the Trend Micro logo sewn inside. A keepsake from one of the company’s Christmas parties I believe.
She was walking around last night with this hat on… which was really after she had a grand time with her powdered milk.
I think at first she thought I was going to get mad…
… but then, how can I get mad with that look?
So I told her to “Smile!”
And there goes the unsure smile…. which broke into of course, a real laugh, with her signature, “Click” hand gesture – something she learned from watching Dora the Explorer on Nick Jr.
This morning, she woke me up with my perfume wafting all around the bedroom, having found my “lunchbox” and having just finished applying make-up on herself, and her alter-ego, Tutu, the little lamb. Tutu’s got “eye-make-up” which Lia is real proud of.
This “preparedness” for a photo shoot warranted an actual photo shoot, so there I went, the “stage momma” that I think I am going to have to be.
This was supposed to be a photo of the two of us, but she turned away just as I pressed the shutter. I’m posting it anyway because it shows how happy (and proud) of a momma I am. (Aside from that, its a picture of how long my hair has grown since I cut it last year and I’m really, really happy about that.)
This is just one of those lounging-in-bed-in-the-morning-with-Lia photos.
Before I knew it, Lia had her hands on the earphones that we uncovered from a box yesterday. It came with an iPod shuffle, dock and remote, and I’m assuming it’s my brother’s. Yesterday we were having a grand time with Front Row and watching videos from when she was a few months old. I took a lot of videos then since it was just the two of us all the time at home. Now in her spare time, she listens to music from the iPod.
That’s I guess when she’s not playing the piano or dancing or singing or playing dress up or putting make up on or taking pictures with the camera and admiring them afterwards or reading Physics and law books. Those are just some of the things we do when we’re together. That is why I’m thinking of putting her in play school this June so that she can play with other kids, you know the normal games… like playing picnic, cooking, assembling blocks and putting together Legos.
Later today we are off to the bookstore to have fun with books. She loves bookstores. I think we will buy some more Play Dohs, coloring books and some new supplies of crayons. She loves painting too so we need more items like those. Boy oh boy, being mom to 25-month old Lia is like having a 4-year old kid. The only thing I love about this seemingly-4 year old kid is I can have her do chores, like going to the store to buy stuff. *evil laugh*
Seriously, last night we were watching tv and playing with Glow-in-the-dark fish and a big flashlight when she said she wanted Tutu, her teem (“milk”) and a blanket with us. I made her go upstairs all by herself and soon enough, she was back downstairs with all three items in tow. I didn’t have to move a muscle. *more evil laugh*
