Coffeebreak Island was scheduled to play at Wharf Galley on April 17th. When we initially planned their gig, we had no plans of moving Wharf Galley; but it turned out, the Coffeebreak Island gig in Naga was the first Wharf Galley event to be held in its new venue: Avenue Square.
Fresh from their gig in Bagasbas for the 4th Bagasbas Summer Surf Festival, Coffeebreak Island came to Naga, and was housed at the Naga Manor.
Naga Manor is located in Balatas Road, off Magsaysay Avenue, on the same road as going to Basilica Minore. It is a quaint, very quiet and very relaxing place to be in. Its quite a beautiful place.
On the morning after, CBI had breakfast at the Manor, in the garden, and then lunch was at Bigg’s Diner in Magsaysay.
I remember watching CBI in Merci and asking when they’re going to play at my bar. Well, there it went.
It was quite fun hanging out with CBI. It was a really busy day and we weren’t able to hang out with the band as much as we wanted. We only had enough time to take Lia from my sister’s house, bring her home to Pili, then come back to Naga to see them off.
Whatever time we spent with CBI was spent inside their room, while waiting for their departure via bus. Good times, good times… 🙂
