Lia and I went to hang out one hot afternoon in Makulay Lodge in Caalan Beach – a lodge and restaurant owned by the Mercado family. There, we met Americans, Mia and Carl, who were staying at the lodge. I had left Lia sleeping in one of the rooms downstairs while I went up to the house up the hill to have a look-see of the new cottage Rose and Del have just finished building.

When I came down, Lia was being entertained by Mia and Carl, who had found her awake when they got back from helping out with collecting Acanthaster (crown-of-thorns starfish). These are photos taken by Carl. I got them off Mia’s FB photos. The two of them are simply adorable! Thanks Mia and Carl!
