A lot of things are happening on Saturday, August 21. One, we will be having a much anticipated photo shoot for Kikayism in partnership with Glambox. Two, Kikayism will also be at the Flea Market at Grillery Cafe and Gallery. Do check it out! There will surely be fab finds! (And three, we will be celebrating Amrei’s birthday in the evening at Route 196)
Wondering where Grillery Cafe and Gallery is? It’s at Guijo St. in Makati! Don’t know where Guijo St. is? Click on the link to the map.

Marimegmeg Beach. (This photo was taken on October 29, 2005 in El Nido, Western Visayas, using a Pentax Optio WP)
I can hear the sound of waves coming one after the other; rushing to the shore, even as I lay in bed with my ear against the pillow. It is in my head. This sound of waves. This sound of the sea that I’ve always loved, even as a child. It is only, perhaps the whirr of the blades of the fan. I am cold. It is exactly as I’ve felt this morning lying in a thin sheet of cloth spread on bare sand, with the wind blowing threads against my feet. And it is the same sound of cicadas in chorus.

National Book Store is currently having a great sale. When Lia and I dropped by last Friday, I saw books that were on sale that I wanted to buy – but we had to go do all kinds of other things and we didn’t get to come back. When I went back yesterday, I didn’t find that one book I had set my eyes on. Dang, it was priced at P75 too! That is how I missed out on what seemed to be such a promising mommy-book for me… Mommy Wars: Stay-at-Home and Career Moms Face Off on Their Choices, Their Lives, Their Families.
I did find wonderfully colorful books for Lia – the Patchwork concept books for very young children. There are 8 titles in the series but I only managed to find five. The hardcover books are originally priced at P359 but I got them for P101.50 each.
