I actually do not have the right to write about these photos. I know nothing about them except..

… they were taken sometime between 2001 and 2003 when I was still in college
… they were taken for my friend Lorie‘s B&W film class

We were hanging out at the U.P. Association of Biology Majors (ABM)‘s tambayan and she said she needed someone to take photos of for her class. I was not doing anything so I told her I’d do it. (At least that’s how I remember it)

Lorie gave me printed copies of the photos I liked best as well as the contact prints. She proudly told me she got a 1.0 for it and I was really happy. I still have the prints in a keepsake album actually.

She promised she’d give me soft copies of the photos but we got busy with studies, work, family and all that – and then this morning, I got an email.

I got these photos off my mail. *smiles*

It’s amazing how a friend remembers and keeps her promise, even after all these years.

It’s amazing how one can keep mementos like this.

What I love about these photos…

… is the simplicity of it all.

No post-processing.

No pretensions.

No frills.

No attempts at high-fashion.

A testament to the good old days when things were uncomplicated.

Most of all, these photos stand as a testament to good old friendship.

Many thanks Lorie. xoxo
