Preparing to battle it out as the Reynang Sirena ng mga Barang-gay in their carnivalesque town fiesta, gay farmer Sarah Jane is unfazed when his landlord Sabiniano threatens to throw him out of his land if he refuses to offer his ward, seven year-old Batotoy.
Sarah Jane pins all his hopes on the return of his lover, Sid, who, a couple of years ago promised to whisk him away from the land.
Unfortunately, Sid is now a salesman of hybrid corn and wants Sarah Jane to stay in Sabiniano’s land in order to plant his hybrid seeds.
Caught between the fulfillment of his shared dreams with Sid and whatever little compassion left in him which he showers Batotoy with, Sarah Jane faces the harsh realities assailing those who once fantasized reaping what was so lovingly planted.
