The 2010 Travel Factor Olympics started at eight in the morning, but since it’s Ryan’s last day before a week-long business trip abroad, I thought it necessary for him to spend the morning playing with our daughter as well as catching up on sleep. We missed the Frisbee and Tug-of-War games.
The schedule said volleyball was going to start at two o’clock so I thought it was safe to leave the house after putting Lia down for her afternoon nap and catch the first volleyball game. The rain started pouring really, really hard as we were closing our front door and getting into the car. We got to the Marikina Sports Park sometime past two o’clock, just in time for the second round of volleyball games: UBBE vs CONQUER. We had missed our own. The SURFVIVOR vs PHOTOHOLIC volleyball game started at one o’clock, Tikoy said. I had really wanted Ryan to play volleyball. I don’t play any other sports myself, and I am especially disinterested in anything with balls like basketball, volleyball, football, billiards, tennis so on and so forth. I just really suck at sports and I get tired really easily. Anyone ever noticed how I do not have a category for sports?
While the other teams played, Ryan, Ver and I had a food trip inside the complex. I have been especially addicted to siomai the past days and have been looking for lugaw or goto the past weeks.
Ryan got to play volleyball in the game for third and fourth place, UBBE vs PHOTOHOLIC. 15-weeks pregnant Sheila and non-sporty me, along with a couple of other Photoholic team members had a grand time cheering on our team and I really must say that I was absolutely entertained.

I finally finished my blogs on Lia and I’s trip to El Nido, Palawan last April. It took a long time but I finally finished! One trip crossed out (or checked off) the travel blogs to-do list …and yet more to go!
I had a lot of pictures so I had to separate the entries.
I can do this. One little blog at a time.
Here is a photo of me with my Potter’s Place family, taken at the mess hall right after graduation. You can see some of the togas hanging out in the back… and I still have my long hair…

Photo blogs on the VLF 6 – long overdue
Happy Days Ahead – new music from theater friends I happened to come by during VLF6 (Thanks William and Victor)
Travel Factor Olympics
Perhaps, my take on Toy Story 3, Eclipse and Inception. Just perhaps. Though mind you, these are not reviews. Just my personal thoughts on the movies I caught on theaters the past weeks, of which I have not been able to write about.
My husband will be away on business trips to China and Japan so I guess I’ll not be having my usual schedule. Though perhaps more specifically, I’ll not be eating so much as I won’t have my cook around. *straight face goes here*

We have a scheduled trip to Bohol on September, just us the little family, and another trip to Batanes with the little family and my mom and her eight other friends but tell you what, I am finding it quite hard to plan for these trips. Why? Because it seems I am losing the traveler in me. Could that be possible?

The past weekend had been hectic. Friday night had us going to Astoria Plaza to celebrate my mother’s birthday with my family and then going to Bahay ni Juan to be with TF friends and Leia for the last time before she went on to a new chapter in her life. We got home at around four in the morning and slept til about ten. Saturday afternoon had us going around Makati for some engagements before finally going to the Glass Garden to be at the reception of the wedding of my husband’s high school friend who was also one of his groomsmen at our own wedding almost four years ago.
These are some of the photos I took at their wedding reception. Since Josiah’s did the catering and I suppose also the venue decoration, I thought it fitting that I credit them for the beautiful set-up they made. Here are photos taken at the Emerald Garden in case someone interested in booking the Glass Garden as a reception venue wants to see photos. I hope you find this post helpful in any way!
We didn’t make it in time to the church ceremony so we headed straight to the reception. We were the first to get there and that allowed me to take photos while there weren’t a lot of people yet.
