We brought Lia to her doctor yesterday for her PPD skin test and have to bring her back on Friday for the follow-up check-up and results. Her doctor noticed her paleness, as I have, and asked me if she still has iron supplements (Ferlin, is what it used to be). I told her we already stopped giving it to her at least a month ago. It seems liked she is now running low on iron.
I don’t know how it came about but she mentioned thalassemia and I had to tell her my own medical history.
