The New ‘Do

I went to Azta Urban Salon in Eastwood, a salon owned by college friend Jon Bantigue, to have my hair done. The last time I was in Azta was in 2007, when I had highlights done on my hair. I have not been back since.

I just told senior hairstylist Jojie that I wanted a new look and that really short is okay.

This is what he came up with:

I had more or less 17 inches of hair cut off! Lia did not recognize me when I came in through the gate and actually, she did not quite like it, judging from this photo.

Actually, I realized right after that I did not like it myself but it’s too late. I keep thinking I have Rihanna hair, or Snooky Serna circa ’90s. I actually regret having my hair this short. I think it’s too short. I keep wishing I opted for shoulder-length hair instead first, so if for example, I decided that I liked it shorter then I can just come back and have it cut. But if it’s this short, I can’t go and attach hair back. I will just have to wait until it grows out.

On the other hand, my brother got this through Google and this made me laugh… and uh, okay, made me like my hair better.

I do love Mandy Moore. My brother Melo used to say a lot that I look like her. And people kept saying that especially when “A Walk to Remember” came out. Apparently, Mandy Moore looking real pale and sickly reminds people of me.

On the other hand, my friend Abet and my sister Jasmin keep saying I resemble Scarlett Johansson. I do wish I’d gain more weight. I love Scartlett. I think she’s absolutely gorgeous, not to mention, drop-dead sexy! I can only wish! Hahaha.
